This nice little convertible is said to be the
first Pro Street car ever built. A guy named Robert Paul Mooney a.k.a. TACH built the car.
It has been in many magazines over the years. The current owner came across it about 5
years ago in the middle of a restoration that Mike Devee started but could not finish.
He saved this unbelievable car from going to the junkyard. It took a lot of hard work
to get the way you see it now. The engine is a 1966 426ci race block that is punched
to over 500ci with an 8:71 blower sitting up top. The 727 trans and narrowed Dana rear
with 410 gears makes for an unbelievable ride. Thanks for the photos Tony, it looks
like you are cruisin’ up north in style! |
